Vintage Jam / Preserve Dish & Spoon

16/01/2026 By Emma Jervis

Add some class to your breakfast or tea times with this charming jam dish.

The dish is a pretty pressed glass with an attractive fluted edge & lovely detailing all around the sides. It sits neatly in a metal frame and has a convenient jam spoon hanging from the middle of the frame. The frame acts as a carry handle as well.

Any preserve of your choice can be placed in the glass dish, jams, jellies, marmalades, chutneys and even sugar. The hanging spoon allows any remnants of the chosen preserve to drip back into the dish. This allows no mess and no lost spoon.

The spoon is chrome plate, the frame is metal.

Perfect for your stylish table, side board or dresser.

A lovely gift.

Simply charming.

Vintage Jug & Water Bowl

16/01/2026 By Emma Jervis

A very pretty vintage jug and matching wash bowl, produced by James Kent of Staffordshire, England.

This delightful duo is from the Old Foley ware, of which many were produced and exported to the US. The crowned globe motif and MADE IN ENGLAND stamp suggests that this piece would have been made during the 1950’s & 60’s.

The design of this lovely set is Chinese Rose which depicts flowers & birds in attractive greens, pinks, purples.

To be used as intended as a wash bowl & pitcher, a serving jug, pop some spring flowers inside & create a vase, or use the bowl as a serving piece – the choice is yours.

Both pieces are in good vintage condition with no chips to the edges, the colours are clean & bright & no rubbing to the rims.. however there is a proportion of grazing to the surfaces of both pieces. This however simply adds to their charm & character.

A lovely addition to your home, display piece or a generous housewarming gift.

Vintage Mason’s Ginger Jar

15/01/2026 By Emma Jervis

This vintage Ginger Jar is a fine example of Mason’s ironstone, decorated with the “ Brocade” pattern.

The detail of this pattern is quite exquisite, resembling the chinoiserie style- floral sprays, leaves, vases , gold detailing, gilt edging. Everywhere you look you see another delight.

Originally designed to hold ginger & other spices, these ginger jars have been around for many many years, in all sizes and delightful designs.

Use this beautiful piece to store a range of things in style in your home, add it to a collection, gift it to a lucky someone.

This jar is in fabulous vintage condition with no chips or scratches to the surface, although there are a few small areas of nibbling to the top area of the jar.
The stunning hand painted pattern is bright & full of its original colour. The gilt edging is still very much intact.

The base of the jar has the makers mark and stamp.

A true beauty.

Set of 6 Vintage Cake Plates

08/01/2026 By Emma Jervis

A delightful set of 6 vintage side or cake plates, produced by Burgess Bros of Carlisle Works, England.

The plates have the circular makers stamp on the base, indicating that these are from the “ Carlisleware” range & that they would have been produced somewhere between 1922 & 1939.

They are 4 sided with gentle scalloped corners & a very pretty hand painted blue & yellow floral design. The edges have a striking black dash rim pattern.

Burgess Bros pieces are highly collectible & these plates really would make an impact when serving tasty sandwiches, cakes & other treats.

Given their age they are in fine vintage condition, but do show signs of use, mainly surface grazing. There are only the very slightest of nibbles to some of the edges but the floral pattern itself is still remarkably bright & cheery.

Add them to your vintage dining ware or gift them to a very lucky someone.

Vintage Brass Candle Holder

07/01/2026 By Emma Jervis

*SOLD* A delightful brass candlestick holder full of warmth, charm & character.

This chamberstick has a drip base, handle & detachable snuffer all in one clever unit.

The chamber stick also has a side lever which would enable you to adjust the height of the candle or lift the remains of a candle towards the top. Although this mechanism works, it is “ stiff” – therefore some patience might be required , although its also a feature you may not require.

The candlestick is in good vintage condition with only a few areas of patina.

A lovely vintage piece for your stylish home or a very thoughtful gift.

Antique Warming Plate

07/01/2026 By Emma Jervis

Ever wondered how people kept their food warm many, many years ago?

Well, this charming plate is an example of how they did it.

This clever piece of antique serving ware consists of a top plate & a hollow base. The warm/hot water would be poured into the internal reservoir & the tasty food would sit on the plate & keep warm during the meal.

Water would be poured through a small hole on the side, which is “plugged” by a cork stopper.

The plate has been well used over many years & through research may even be older than 100 years – imagine all the meals this plate would have been used for.

A delightful, practical , simple & clever way to keep food warm, far prettier than the more modern methods we see these days.

The plate has a pretty floral pattern in blue & white, although slightly faded over time, but still very attractive.

Because of its age there are a few areas of wear & tear – fading of the colour, a chip to the underside of the top plate, cracks to the base, rubbing to the edges. – this being said, the plate is full of character and a real delight , ready to adorn your dining table, side board, kitchen dresser or a display piece within the home or a business setting.

Dimensions –

27 cm diameter
6 cm depth
( approximately)

20/11/2025 By Emma Jervis

A delightful cut glass inkwell that would make a real statement on your stylish writing, office or work desk.

This dinky but delightful piece has a wonderful hinged brass lid that opens and closes neatly.
The glass element of the inkwell has an attractive dimpled pattern with its base having a cut star design.

It is in good overall vintage condition but there are some areas of wear & tear – the inside of the lid has patina & darkening to the brass & the base has some surface scratches from where it has been sat on desks, tables etc. However, there are no chips to the dimpled sides or any visible surface scratches.

The inkwell is of a good sturdy weight.

A beautiful addition to your home , a display piece, collectable item or a very thoughtful gift.
