I do love a vintage reference book & this is a splendid one – packed full of illustrations and a wealth of information & knowledge about British birds.
The Oxford Book Of Birds details every bird that has been spotted & recorded within the British Isles up to 1971.
Each bird has a lovely descriptive text about it, with the book treating us to 96 coloured plates, plus a couple of black & white diagrams.
Beautifully illustrated, easy to read, enjoyable to learn from.
The book comes with its original dust cover and as a whole it is in very good condition. There are no rips, tears or graffiti.
This edition was published in 1974 making it over 50 years old.
I wonder how many more of our feathered friends have been spotted since this book was released?
A fabulous gift, a display piece, coffee table prop, to read from and enjoy, to learn and to share – this is a lovely book.
