*SOLD* Here we have a truly beautiful Vintage Book full to bursting with information & detail about Britain’s Wild Flowers.
Entitled “ Wayside and Woodland Blossoms “ the book is a wonderful “Guide to British Wild Flowers Including All The Orchids”
The Author, Edward Step was a renowned expert and known for his work on Botany & Zoology & this particular book is the 3rd Series of the Wayside and Woodland Books, published in 1948.
The book proudly contains a wealth of coloured figures of 64 species, 87 photographic reproductions & 119 text illustrations.
There is a wonderful little loose insert in the book, informing the reader that they can send species of flowers / plants to the British Museum for identification and how best to send them. A wonderful little touch I think.
The book is in incredible condition with tight binding. The hardback cover is a fabulous bright red colour and has only the very slightest of fraying at the top of the spine. Apart from that this book’s condition is quite remarkable given its age.
A wonderful book to take pride of place on your bookshelf, a lovely display item, a teaching & learning piece or a wonderful gift.
