*SOLD* Here we have a very stylish serving tray.
The tray has beautifully detailed raised sides which is where the term “Gallery Tray” derives from.
The raised sides are there to hold onto when carrying & act as a guard to stop your drinking glasses from sliding off.
The tray is silver plate on copper which adds to its robustness and strength & has a elegantly etched detailed design covering the base. (The centre of the tray has a plain area which I would imagine could be used for any engraving that may be desired if this was given as a gift ).
Oval shaped, the tray measures 36 x 16 cm & weighs in at 707g.
This item is in fabulous vintage condition with no chips or scratches. There is a little tarnishing & rubbing of the silver plate found on the underside of the base. This interestingly however shows through a little of the copper underneath which creates a beautiful warmth to the piece.
A stunning piece of vintage serving & barware, this would look fabulous on your side table, on top of a drinks cabinet or make a very thoughtful vintage gift.
