The butter dish consists of 3 separate parts – the metal base, the pressed glass tray and the lid. All the parts fit snuggly together and create a very attractive piece of vintage serving ware.
The metal tray has beautiful ornate scrolled detailing around its edges & the glass base has a simple but effective pressed glass design.
This lovely butter dish is believed to be silver plate but there are no markings. It is a good solid piece & is in fabulous vintage condition. There are no chips or scratches to the glass tray but there is a little tarnishing of the metal on the underside.
