Most gentlemen from a by gone era would have had their own collar box for storing those highly starched detachable collars that they wore
This fabulous example of a collar box is made in a warm and charming tan leather & it has been well used over the years. The leather has the expected age related areas of wearing and rubbing & a few knocks to the surface. The interior is more damaged with staining and ripping with the buckle & strap also showing signs of age and usage. The lid doesn’t quite fit flat because of the damage to the interior lining.
These issues , I personally feel, really add to the warmth, charm & history of this lovely piece of Vintage men’s accessories. To add to the history and individuality of this collar box, the previous owners name and address has been hand written inside, which I think is truly wonderful.
