What a Beauty!
Style, sophistication & elegance are all wrapped up in this piece of vintage pottery.
This beautiful pitcher has a shiny black lustrous glaze base with the finest of gold & white hand painted swirls and twirls, with the rim, spout, bottom edge, feet & handle all having attractive gilt edged detailing.
The pitcher is believed to be in the “Jackfield” pottery style & it has the most wonderful tactile feel as you run your fingers over the gold & white detailing.
It is in very good vintage condition, but there are some areas of rubbing to the gilt edging & some of the white detailing has rubbed away ( leaving the “flowers’ with a few less petals in some areas ) There are minor scratches to the black glaze, but despite these issues, the jug is in a great condition.
A most wonderful piece of vintage homeware.
