*SOLD* Serve up those wonderful summer fruit delights with this fabulous example of vintage serving ware.
Produced by Keeling & Co , this Losol’s Ware Bowl is in the Lothian pattern. The Makers mark is clearly stamped on the base and the stamp suggests it would have been made between 1912 & 1936.
The design is floral in parts with a black & white chequered band around the rim of the strainer plate & throughout other areas of the set.
Once your strawberries, grapes & other berries had been washed, the idea would be that the fruit would sit on the drainage plate allowing the water to run through the holes and collect in the under bowl. The same principle would apply if you were wishing to drizzle some syrup or tasty honey over your fruit.
The set is in fabulous vintage condition, especially considering its age. There are no chips or scratches to either the drainage plate or the bowl, but there are a few little marks in & around the pattern on both the parts. However, these are minimal.
A wonderful way to serve up your delights or this would make a wonderful gift for a lover of all things vintage.
