*SOLD* A truly beautiful & stylish powder compact made by Regent of London.
Made from a lacquered brass , the compact has a number of delightful features.
On opening the compact, you have the mirror and a metal “plate” that is stamped “ Regent of London” & decorated with a pretty diamond pattern. This ‘plate” clips open and shuts firmly. ( clasp on the right hand side)
Underneath the metal plate is the pretty pink puffer ( stamped Regent of London ) When this is lifted out you find the sifter, which has a tiny tag to help lift it when adding the powder to the compact.
The sifter, the puffer and the base of the compact are clean and have no signs of powder residue or staining. I believe this compact has never been used & all the elements are original.
The lid has a stylish marcasite motif and it firmly shuts with a satisfying “ click”.
The compact has the original sleeve to protect it & comes in its original red & white box
In fabulous working order, but given its age there are areas of tarnishing & wear in places on both the lid and the base.
