* SOLD * An absolute winner for the collector out there & a real gem of antique tobbaciana.
This stunning Victorian snuff box is crafted beautifully in Rosewood, has a silver plate decoration on the lid & an inlay of Mother of Pearl. The hinge & both ends of the box are also delightfully enhanced in silver plate.
The lid which has a bevelled “lip” lifts easily, stays upright & closes with a very satisfying “click”.
The snuff box is in excellent condition with some expected age related signs of wear & tear. There is some fading of the wood on the back & some marks to the silver plate bands. There is also some fading & rubbing of the wood inside the box.
These issues are minimal but of course worth a mention ( please see photos)
The box is a dinky 8 x 5 cm ( approximately)
Highly collectable or a most wonderful gift for a lover of all things vintage.
