What a wonderful book to have in your possession, especially given the approaching Platinum Jubilee Celebrations we will be involved in very soon.
This fabulous look into The Royal Family’s History covers the Royal Tour of The World & Commonwealth carried out by Her Majesty , Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Phillip in the very early days of her incredible Reign. The six month Tour was carried out between November 1953 and May 1954.
The book depicts many many marvellous photographs of The Royal Couple as they visited several countries , took part in events and met numerous people. The majority of the photos are in black and white & clearly tell the story of a very enjoyable tour and the book concludes with their journey home.
Published by Hutchinson & Co, written by Wynford Vaughan Thomas a renowned Welsh Author and at times a Royal Correspondent for the BBC.
The book is in good vintage condition with all the pages clear , bright & firmly attached to the spine. There are some marks, rubbing and areas of wear & tear to the hardback ( please look at photos) Sadly no dust cover comes with the book but the book is still a delightful addition to a collection of Royal memorabilia.
It would make a fabulous gift, display piece or prop.
