A very pretty cake plate with a matching cake slice produced by James Kent of England.
The plate and slice are designed in the lovely Eastern Glory pattern which involves gorgeous oriental flowers, vines and butterflies. The colours are bright & clear, with the plate benefitting from a wonderful gold gilding to the rim.
Both pieces are stamped with the Maker’s mark on the underside.
The set is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the surfaces, however there are a few ‘ flea bites “ to the surface of the plate. This though is minimal and does not distract from the beauty of the piece. The gold edging is in very good condition with no rubbing or fading.
Perfect for serving up those delicious cakes or this pretty duo would make a rather charming gift.
