The original intention for this serving dish would be for caviar, but it can also be used for serving swirls & curls of butter , or tasty jam during your dining experience.
The dish stands on 4 pretty, ornate legs and has a lovely floral etched pattern on the lid. The lid is easily folded back to expose a pressed glass round dish, on which to pop your caviar or other tasty delights onto.
The dish is very pretty and would certainly make an impact on your stylish dining table.
It is in good vintage condition, but does have some areas of age related tarnishing to the silver plate. This, however can easily be polished out if desired. The dish also has a very , very slight tilt when placed on a surface, but this is minor and in no way interferes with the unit as a working piece of serving ware.
