A wonderful selection of the famously known Observer guide books.
Published by Warne, these pocket sized reference books covered a wealth of topics, including Wildlife, Hobbies, Art & Literature. In fact there over 800 variations of these amazing books which were published between 1937 – 2003.
The books in this lovely bundle are,
Automobiles – No 21, published in 1977 – Blue.
London – No 50 – published in 1973 – Red.
British Geology – No 10 – published in 1955 – Cream
Basic Aircraft – No 38 – published in 1967 – White
None of the books have their dust covers , but they are all in very good vintage condition. There are some small areas of wear & tear around the corners, sides & spines of the books, but the pages are all intact and have no writing or marks on them. The Geology & the Automobiles books have a little surface rip to the inside page & Automobiles has been well thumbed & used.
Given their vintage age these books look fabulous.
They would make a wonderful addition to a collection, attractive display pieces, shelf fillers, centrepieces & place markings at a dining event, as well as their intended use as reference books.
