*SOLD* This is a really lovely wooden storage box that has been well used over the years to store and keep items away in style.
The box is the perfect place to store away all your bits and pieces, from letters & household bills, sewing & haberdashery items or other hobby items.
The exterior has a lovely diamond pattern etched band on the top and front, with the interior lined with paper designed with gold crosses. The box lid holds nicely on the two brass hinges.
This treasure box has however been well used over the the years and this is evident in a few places – the interior paper is ripped & marked in places, & the corners & other areas of the exterior have a few chips and marks to the surface. Sadly the locking mechanism is no longer on the box, & the underside also shows good signs of use. ( please look at photos and I can send more if requested )
Quite a list! , but this being said, the box is a real delight and a really charming piece of vintage homeware.
