Produced by the renowned potter, S Johnson of Burslem, Stoke 0n Trent, this teapot oozes style and sophistication.
Designed with a bright floral pattern in strong blue, green and orange colours, the teapot also benefits from wonderful gold gilt work around the edges, rims, base and handles. There is also a lovely ribbed detailing around the bottom half of the teapot.
Two wonderful additions to this teapot are the gorgeous matching stand on which to put the teapot and the hexagonal shape to the item.
The teapot and stand are in very good vintage condition, especially when you consider it was produced between 1916 & 1931.
There are a few areas of rubbing to the surface , but the colours are vivid and clean, & the gilt work is still clear to see in all areas. The interior has significant crazing however – its been a busy teapot!
A fabulous addition to any collection of vintage teapots you may have or it would make a rather lovely housewarming or Anniversary gift.
