This wonderful copper fireplace accessory benefits from touches of brass found in a studded band around the stand, the base and elements of the implements.
The set consists of a brush, coal tongs, a shovel & a poker.
Two implements are housed inside the Stand with the other two hanging on either side.
All pieces of the Set have been well used & I have left them as seen.
The 4 implements show blackening , patina & some scratches to the handles. The brush still has many bristles but they are worn in places. The domed brass area around the bristles also has a little wobble to it.
The stand also has areas of patina and some scratches etc to the surface. There are also a few areas of discolouration of the copper where it has been previously polished. ( I have left it alone ) This has slightly affected the overall appearance of the copper but I think it adds a certain charm and a warm quality to it.
All pieces are in good overall vintage condition and in working order.
