The jar has a pretty cut glass design around its sides and a pressed glass base. The lid has integrated metal tongs which, when squeezed together act as a clamp for lifting and holding the sugar cubes.
A perfect addition to your home , a business setting for afternoon teas or this jar would make a wonderful gift for a lover of all things vintage.
The jar is in very good vintage condition with the glass having no chips, but there are a few small areas where the surface of the glass is marked. The lid works perfectly well and is fit for purpose but there are areas of rubbing to the top surface of the metal. The lid has lost any suction it may have had and simply just sits loosely on top of the jar.
Despite these minor issues this sugar cube jar is a real delight, quirky & practical.
