What a Beauty.
This “Brown Betty “ style teapot is just the most wonderful example of vintage serving ware and will most certainly make a statement on your kitchen , dining or coffee table.
The pot has a wonderful brown base glaze with a stylish cream / white marbled effect design swirling around the sides, spout & lid.
The beauty of the pot doesn’t end there as the spout, the lid’s handle, the rim of the neck and the “waist” of the teapot have gold finishes and effects.
Considering the pots age and the amount of tea it may have served, it is in fabulous vintage condition with the colours still being very bright & clear. The gold elements are still visible, but there is rubbing & wear & tear of this. Sadly the lid’s handle has a chip to one of the sides. ( I have tried to highlight this in the photos ) None of these issues however inhibit the teapot”s beauty & charm.
A delightful piece of vintage homeware, a great accompaniment to a collection of teapots you may have, a display / prop piece or a fabulous and thoughtful gift
The makers mark on the base has all but faded away sadly .
The teapot pours beautifully & comfortably holds 7 tea cup sized servings.
£45.00 incl p&p.
