*SOLD* A superb and majestic cheese dish.
This lidded dish is quite remarkable in its stature & at the same time very pretty.
The cream lid has an usual moulded shape which involves lovely curves and indents , giving it a very tactile feel. Painted over the top surface and the back of the lid are attractive floral sprays in pretty pinks, greens & yellows. There is an elegant handle and the lid sits neatly on top of a large base plate, which is completed with a fluted edge all the way around.
The cheese keeper is sure to make an impact when swerving up & presenting tasty cheeses during any meal times.
It is in very good vintage condition with no chips or scratches, but there are areas of age related crazing to the top surface of the lid and the base plate. This however does not take away the beauty, elegance and charm of this wonderful piece of vintage serving ware.
